Byrd Breakfast Pictures

Below are pictures of my speaking at Rep. Susie Byrd's breakfast on Thursday.  There were five of us running for the District 2 seat that were there that morning.  I emphasized the my achievements by bringing people of different opinions together, my accomplishments in the neighborhood, and my background work which qualifies me as the person who gets things done.

Because I have now served on the Newman Park Neighborhood Association Board, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Tree Committee, Open Space Advisory Board, West Texas Urban Forestry Council and worked with other community groups, I am deeply knowledgeable about the staff and the way things work at City Hall.  It's not just a matter of having good ideas, but also knowing how to implement those ideas.  It's knowing how to get things done and doing so.  That's my record as a community leader and activist.
